Valentina 1.0.1 Released

Valentina 1.0.1 is a maintenance release that polishes the stability and reliability of the 1.0.0 milestone. It brings no new features — only targeted bug fixes and improvements that address issues reported by the community since the initial 1.0.0 launch.

What’s New in 1.0.1

Valentina — Pattern-Making Application

• Fixed arc transformations. Arc objects now transform correctly under all supported operations.
• Fixed duplicate curve name generation. The application no longer produces conflicting names when curves are created automatically.
• Fixed crash on multi-monitor systems. Users running Valentina across multiple displays will no longer experience unexpected crashes.
• Fixed incorrect inclusion of custom seam allowance. Custom seam allowance paths are now evaluated and included correctly along the piece boundary.
• Fixed seam allowance calculation for symmetrical pieces. Symmetrical pattern pieces now yield an accurate seam allowance on both sides.
• Fixed notch calculation on seam allowance. Notch geometry along the seam allowance line is now computed correctly.
• Added missing pen style control for elliptical arc. The property browser now exposes the pen style option for elliptical arc objects, bringing them in line with other curve types.
• Blocked accidental curve move when selecting with a tool. Curves can no longer be inadvertently dragged while a drawing tool is active and a selection click is intended.
• Fixed formula values not being saved in the Normal tool. Values entered via formula in the Normal tool dialog are now persisted correctly.

Puzzle — Layout and Nesting Application

• Fixed duplication of notches. Notches no longer appear twice on a piece after certain layout operations.
• Fixed “Show mirror line” option having no effect. The mirror line visibility toggle now works as expected.
• Fixed blank first page when printing to PDF. PDF output no longer starts with an empty page.
• Fixed empty second blank page when printing tiled layout. Tiled PDF exports are now free of spurious trailing blank pages.
• Adjusted macOS font scaling in print mode. Text in printed and exported layouts on macOS is now sized correctly instead of appearing oversized.
• Sheet numbers are now shown in brackets. Sheet numbers in the sheet list are displayed in brackets (e.g., [1]) to visually separate them from the sheet name.

Tape — Measurements Editor

• Corrected multisize table support when using inch units. Inch-based multisize measurement tables now load and calculate correctly.
• Corrected display of full circumference dimension values. Full circumference values are now shown accurately in the measurements table.
• Fixed showing and saving a measurement image from the known-measurements database. Images attached to standard measurements are now displayed and saved without data loss.

DXF Export

• Fixed incorrect code page when exporting DXF files on Windows. DXF files generated on Windows now use the correct character encoding, preventing garbled text in third-party CAD tools.

Installer and Platform

• Windows installers are now code-signed. The installer and application binaries are signed with a trusted certificate. This eliminates Windows SmartScreen warnings that users previously encountered when downloading and running the installer.
• Corrected application status in the Windows installer. The installer now accurately reflects the installed application state.
• Fixed crash during font correction export. An edge-case crash triggered while exporting font correction data has been resolved.
• Suppressed spurious “GOAWAY invalid stream” error messages. This internal network error is no longer surfaced to the user.

UI and Theming

• Improved custom Dark and Light theme styles. Several visual inconsistencies in both themes have been corrected, including an incorrect foreground color reset on text fields.
• Fixed popup menu style for tool buttons on macOS. Tool button context menus now render with the correct style on macOS.

Upgrade Notes

1.0.1 is fully compatible with pattern files created in 1.0.0. No file migration is required.
