Valentina 1.0.2 is a maintenance release focused entirely on stability. It contains no new features — only targeted crash fixes and a visual correction that address issues reported by the community since 1.0.1. If you experienced any unexpected exit while working with undo, redo, or older pattern files, this update resolves that class of problem directly.

What’s New in 1.0.2

Every fix in this release targets a specific crash scenario. Most were triggered by particular combinations of undo, redo, and dialog interactions — situations that are easy to hit during real pattern-making work. Updating is strongly recommended for all users.

Valentina — Pattern-Making Application

• Fixed crash when undoing a piece path operation with a dialog open. Undoing or redoing a piece path action while a related dialog is still visible no longer causes the application to exit unexpectedly.
• Fixed crash when inserting nodes after undo/redo. Node insertion immediately following undo or redo of a piece operation is now handled correctly in all cases.
• Fixed crash on Windows with the property browser open. Undoing or redoing a tool addition while the property browser panel is visible no longer terminates the application on Windows.
• Fixed crash during pattern parsing for objects with unexpected types. In release builds a safety check was compiled away, allowing an invalid modeling node type to cause a crash when loading a pattern. The check is now unconditional.
• Fixed crash when loading old-format pattern files. Pattern files created before the version attribute was introduced now open without crashing.
• Fixed draw scene labels showing the wrong color. Labels in the drawing scene now display the correct color immediately at startup and when switching themes — including when a custom Dark or Light theme is set opposite to the current system theme.
• Fixed accessibility warning on macOS. A spurious warning triggered by an empty table selection state is now suppressed.

Tape — Measurements Editor

• Fixed crash during shutdown. An incorrect object destruction order in the main measurements window could cause a crash on close. The teardown sequence is now correct.

Upgrade Notes

1.0.2 is fully compatible with pattern files created in 1.0.0 and 1.0.1. No file migration is required.
